How is Brazilian hair removal different from Hollywood hair removal?

Brazilian and Hollywood waxing cover the same area – the front, the sides, the labia and the area between the buttocks. The only difference is the pubic mound: with a Brazilian you can ask us to leave a thin strip, while Hollywood is a Brazilian wax with no strip, leaving the skin completely smooth.

Brazilian waxing – what it covers

A Brazilian wax removes hair from the whole bikini area: the front, the sides, the labia and between the buttocks. If you wish, your therapist will leave a thin vertical strip on the pubic mound (a landing strip). You can also choose a small triangle or a shape such as a heart. It is a good option if you want smoothness in the most intimate areas but prefer to keep a little hair at the front.

Hollywood waxing – what it covers

Hollywood is a Brazilian wax without the strip. The area treated is exactly the same – front, sides, labia and back – but no hair is left, so the skin is completely smooth. Many clients choose it for aesthetic reasons and a feeling of freshness, especially in summer and with high-cut swimwear.

Similarities

Both styles cover the entire bikini area, including the labia and the area between the buttocks.
Both can be done with hard wax, soft wax, sugar paste or Lycon wax – or with laser hair removal if you want longer-lasting results.
After waxing or sugaring, the skin usually stays smooth for 2–5 weeks.

The difference

Brazilian – a thin strip, small triangle or shape can be left on the pubic mound on request.
Hollywood – no strip, completely smooth skin.
