Facial Cleansing in Wroclaw

Facial cleansing is one of the most popular treatments offered by beauty salons. Facial cleansing is advised to all customers regardless of skin type. The treatment relies on removing whiteheads and blackheads lying beneath the skin surface. We perform this treatment at our studio in the centre of Wroclaw, right by the Market Square (ul. Kazimierza Wielkiego 1).

A blackhead, medically known as an open comedo, is a yellow or blackish bump or plug on the skin. A blackhead is a type of acne vulgaris. Blackheads are caused by excess oils that have accumulated in the sebaceous gland’s duct. The substance found in these bumps mostly consists of keratin and modified sebum (an oily secretion of the sebaceous gland), which darkens as it oxidizes. In contrast, a “whitehead” (more commonly known as a pimple or a closed comedo) is a follicle that is filled with the same material, sebum, but lacks a microscopic opening to the skin surface. Since the air cannot reach the follicle, the material is not oxidized, and remains white.

The facial cleansing starts from the deep facial cleaning, then the esthetician makes an exact skin analysis and sets out additional treatments that could be performed. In the following steps: the esthetician puts a special mask on the skin, removes blackheads and whiteheads. The treatment ends in applying a cream that reduces redness. Customers choose whether Facial Cleansing Treatment is limited only to the treatment itself, or extended by an algae, collagen or facial massage. As a standard we perform a cavitation peeling for a facial cleansing treatment. The facial cleansing as well as other treatments performed in our Studio are based on the Arkana cosmetics.

What does the treatment involve?

First, your skin is thoroughly cleansed and the esthetician analyses its condition. As a standard, the treatment includes a cavitation peeling. Then blackheads and whiteheads are removed manually, and the treatment ends with a cream that reduces redness. Depending on the version, the treatment also includes d’Arsonval and a nourishing mask or algae – see the price list above. We use Arkana cosmetics.

How often should I have my face cleansed?

It depends on your skin type – after the skin analysis the esthetician will recommend the right frequency. Blackheads fill up again over time, so the cleansing should be repeated from time to time or complemented with treatments such as cavitation peeling or oxybrasion.

Do you also offer back cleansing?

Yes. Besides the face, we also cleanse the neck, décolletage and back. Back cleansing for women is listed as a separate item in the price list.

Who should not have facial cleansing?

The treatment is not performed in case of skin inflammation, cold sores, allergies, skin or eye infections and fungal diseases.

Where is the studio and where can I park?

Our studio is on the ground floor of the Times office building at ul. Kazimierza Wielkiego 1, on the corner of św. Mikołaja street, a few minutes’ walk from the Market Square. You can park in the underground car park beneath the office building at ul. Kazimierza Wielkiego 3.
