Acids affect the skin in a specific way. They have relaxing properties for the upper epidermis layers, which facilitate its exfoliation. This results in the accelerated natural process of removing the layers of dead cells gathered on the skin surface. The Easy Waxing studio offers exfoliation based on the following acids: AHA – 15% glycolic acid, AHA – 25% Intensive Fruit Acid, BHA – 20% salicylic acid, Jessner’s solution (composed of 14% salicylic acid, 15% lactic acid, 8% citric acid)

AHA acids – glycolic acid

• Skin: cornified, with a tendency to discolorations, with shallow scars, grey, damaged with long-term sunbathing, mature. 
• Effect: AHA acids normalize the epidermis cornification process. They moisten the skin, facilitating the production of glycosaminoglycans responsible for binding the moisture in the skin as well as increase the synthesis of collagen and elastin fibres. They light up the skin, smooth out wrinkles and creases, improving the general appearance. Since fruit acids distribute the pigment equally and prevent its lumping, they light up pigmentation spots (e.g. age, liver spots).
• Exfoliation: delicate.
• Frequency: in a series of 4-6 treatments, every 7-10 days.

AHA acids – salicylic acid

• Skin: oily, prone to acne, dirty pores.
• Effect: salicylic acid dissolves in fats, exfoliates dead cells from the epidermis surface, is able to penetrate through the sebum layer, get inside the skin pores and clean them as well as get inside the hair follicles, which is of huge significance for acne treatment. It unblocks pores and prevents the formation of pimples, helps to clean comedos. Additionally, this acid increases penetration of other active substances and perfectly prepares the skin for dermabrasion treatments.
• Exfoliation: delicate, can be covered by make-up.
• Frequency: in a series of 4-6 treatments, every 7-10 days.

Jessner’s solution

• Skin: keratosis pilaris, acne punctata, discolorations, seborrhea, small wrinkles, pigmentation disorders, superficial and mixed chloasma, moderate and advanced photoageing, in people not tolerating oral therapy with retinoids, good for use on larger body surfaces, e.g. back.
• Effect: Jessner’s solution is a chemical peeling that contains a combination of salicylic acid, lactic acid and resorcin. Its effect involves epidermis exfoliation through its destruction and then regeneration. Locally, the use of Jessner’s solution causes changes in the epidermis that are similar to those observed after using retinoids. The effect of the peeling is skin rejuvenation, improvement of its colour as well as texture. It reduces damages caused by the sun and other discolorations. It is suitable for papulopustular acne and acne punctata as well as seborrhea.
• Exfoliation: moderately intensive, erythema up to 3 days, afterwards intensive exfoliation for about 3-5 days, the skin flakes cannot be torn off as this may cause discolorations and/or scars.
• Frequency: in a series of 4-6 treatments, every 7-10 days.
